Dance is just around the corner! Some of you have wondered if I'm still teaching given my pregnancy and being sick. I am planning to teach and just having faith that in a month I will feel much better. So I need to know if your child is taking dance. You need to ignore the schedule on the blog, I really just need to know who is planning to take dance and then I can come up with the schedule. When you have a studio as small as mine it can't go the other way around. As soon as I have a good idea of students I can send out the schedule. What I do know is that classes will be on Wednesdays. Throw me an e-mail letting me know and I will give more info ASAP. Cost is $20 per month and I will be requiring purchase of footless tights and leotard for performances (color specified below). Shoes are not needed, but the little ones can wear ballet shoes if they'd like. If you have questions please feel free to call 1-208-201-6801 Below I've added a description of classes:

mom & me (2-3 year old): This is a mommy guided class (mom does not have to dance) based on a technique called brain dance in which simple exercises are done involving all parts of the brain improving connections and introducing your child to movement and dance. This class is 20-30 minutes long. Price is to be determined

Preschool: (3 1/2-5) creative/ballet Ballet technique is incorporated with fun dance activities and games focusing on a different element each month such as energy. (short sleeved pink leotard and pink footless tights) I prefer you get the leo from shopko only because that's where we got them last year and that way the colors will match.

K-2: I continue a creatively based class with ballet technique adding in new technical moves and discipline. (black short sleeved leotard and pink footless tights)

3-5 grade: Modern/Jazz Focus becomes more performance oriented and choreographic skills are emphasized. (black short sleeved leotard and pink footless tights)

My goal is always to help your dancer in being confident in her abilities and performance skills while learning proper technique in a fun, creative environment.

  1. Hi Rachel-
Congratulations on your growing baby- I hope your sickness passes soon. My daughter, Elle, took a Mommy and Me class last year and really has missed it this summer. She'll be 3 and 4 months come Septmeber. I was wondering since she's already taken a mommy and me would she take it again with you since she's not quite 3 and a half. Also, are you still even accepting students? Thank you!

  3. Hey Rach...
I just realized that since the Mommy and Me class will be on Wednesday mornings, it would have to be "Daddy and Me" for her! I am teaching preschool M, W, F mornings this fall. Does that work? I'm assuming it would since you said Mommies don't have to dance. And assuming Brandon will agree to it. :)

    Hope you're feeling better!
